Solid Sit-Downs: Libertad Madrigal, Front End Designer

Libertad Madrigal, Front End Designer, turns ideas into interactive experiences. With 12+ years of experience, she builds responsive websites using Elementor. Her key advice: "Always be learning."

Libertad Madrigal, one of our Front End Designer, has always had an innate curiosity about how things work, a trait that led her from studying science to discovering her true passion for design. Influenced by her father, she began experimenting with web pages as a child, creating small sites about her favorite movie heroines. Though she earned a degree in Graphic Design with an editorial focus, it wasn’t until after graduating that she realized what she truly wanted was to dive into web design, where creativity and logic meet. She began revisiting what she had learned, exploring new tools, and building her way into this new path. Today, she has over 12 years of experience in the field.

What is your favorite quote? and why?

It’s hard to pick just one since there are so many amazing quotes, but the one I turn to most often is “Among individuals, as among nations, respect for the rights of others is peace” by Benito Juárez. It may sound very political, but I love how it can also be seen as a way of life, a kind of “treat others the way you want to be treated.” that works on all levels.

What inspired you to become a Front End Designer?

I’ve always been drawn to technology, and while I was studying, I became more aware of how creativity and logic can come together to produce amazing results. Front-end design allows me to turn ideas into real, interactive experiences, something that was easy for me to fall in love with.

What do you like most about your job?

I enjoy being part of the process of shaping how people experience a website, from its structure and flow to the small details that make it intuitive and engaging.

What volunteering or passion projects do you do outside of work?

I have such a mom answer for this one 😂 I like to find everyday tasks or challenges and turn them into design projects. Lately, raising my son and helping him with his homework have sparked a lot of ideas, from designing learning tools to small educational games. I enjoy creating resources that help pave the way for other parents who face the same challenges I do.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I enjoy watching movies (I’m a big fan of the horror genre) and just hanging out with my family, sharing good food, enjoying each other and laughing a lot.

What has been your favorite project you’ve worked on during your time at Solid Digital?

This is a tough one to answer since I’ve truly enjoyed working on every project, each one has its own uniqueness and has taught me something new. But having to pick one, I choose NAVS. It turned out beautifully, with an amazing flow in terms of interactions, and it carries that visual vibe of helping and learning along the way, which I really love.

As a Front End Designer, what expertise do you have that you can deliver to your clients?

I focus on turning static designs into fully functional, responsive websites using Elementor. I love making sure every detail aligns perfectly with the design while ensuring smooth layouts and responsiveness across all devices, solving challenges in the best way possible, and creating websites that are easy for our clients to manage and maintain.

What is one of your favorite things about Solid Digital’s culture?

One of my favorite aspects of Solid Digital’s culture is the team’s amazing attitude. Everyone prioritizes delivering a seamless and comfortable experience for the client, always keeping the project’s needs in mind, and continuously pushing each other to do better, all while maintaining a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration.

What are your top 3 favorite podcasts/books?

  1. Top of the World by Hans Ruesch (although I like the title better in spanish El pais de las sombras largas)
  2. Perfume: The Story of a Murderer by Patrick Süskind
  3. Red Sorghum: A Novel of China by Mo Yan

What is your favorite museum?

Museo Tamayo Arte Contemporáneo in Mexico City. The architecture of the building is fascinating. It was founded by this amazing artist called Rufino Tamayo, which I also really like since I was very little. The collections shown are always pretty cool and I feel like everything there always keeps a “Tamayo” essence, although I haven’t been there in a while, to be honest.

What’s your most-used mobile application and why?

A game called Pikmin Bloom 😅 It’s kinda like Pokemon Go but with this little beautiful critters that collect all sorts of things, it’s beautiful. And from a designer’s point of view, it’s fascinating because it’s continuously updated, so you can regularly see how their design team improves the user experience and interactions little by little.

What are three things still left on your bucket list?

  1. Watch the aurora borealis in person
  2. Visit Nara, Japan, where deer (my favorite animal) roam freely
  3. Go skiing

What is the one piece of advice you would give to someone who wants to have a career in your field?

Always be learning.
This field changes so fast, so staying curious and open to new tools and ideas makes a huge difference. And honestly, “always be learning” isn’t just for work, it applies to pretty much everything in life. Every project, challenge, or random moment has something to teach you if you’re open to it.

What is your approach to providing great customer service?

For me, providing great customer service means listening carefully to the client’s needs, communicating clearly, and staying proactive throughout the process. I also learned from the amazing Solid Digital team that great service isn’t just about solving problems, it’s about making the entire experience positive and effortless for the customer.

What would you like to be known for?

I’d love to be known for three things: being someone who’s always open to learning, someone who believes every experience and every person has something valuable to teach, and I’d also love to be known for making people laugh.

Effective website experiences & digital marketing strategies.
