A U of O graduate with a degree in Advertising, Mackenzie was introduced to the world of project management in agency environments early in her career. She has continued to develop her knowledge and skills to assist clients with all their project management needs. She is a great communicator and always puts her clients’ needs first. On the weekends, you can find me at Duck Football games, spending time in nature and exploring all that Portland has to offer.

Q: What is your favorite quote?
“The unexamined life is not worth living.”
– Socrates.
This quote reminds me to always take the time to slow down, never stop questioning my beliefs and be willing to look at the big picture.
Q: What inspired you to become a Project Manager
I was inspired to become a project manager because overcoming challenges
collaboratively and watching a plan become reality is fulfilling. I strive to bring a positive influence to my teams and enjoy learning from cross-functional team members.
Q: What do you enjoy the most about being Project Manager at Solid Digital?
I enjoy working with such a talented team and the opportunity to grow professionally by resolving new challenges.
Q: As a Project Manager, What expertise do you bring to your clients?
As a project manager, I stay curious about client’s unique goals and industry. I also aim to be adaptable to account for changing landscapes and priorities.
Q: What is your approach to providing great customer service?
My approach to customer service is to build long-lasting relationships by taking the time to listen and connect with the client beyond the project at hand.
Q: What has been your favorite project you’ve worked on during your time at Solid Digital?
I’ve really enjoyed working on the Genspace site so far. Learning about their mission to change the national conversation on aging is really inspiring.
Q: What volunteering or passion projects do you do outside of work?
I’ve slowly started collecting houseplants and have recently installed UV lights on my plant station to keep my succulents alive through the PNW winters.
Q: What is your favorite museum?
My favorite museum is the Musée de l’Orangerie in Paris. Their Water Lilies exhibit is amazing plus it’s located in a beautiful garden.

Lately I’ve been listening to Armchair Expert, My Favorite Murder and Office Ladies.
Q: What is your favorite Solid Tradition?
I love the high-five slack channel we have. It’s really great to have a space to show recognition for all of our awesome team members.
Q: What do you like on your pizza?
I like pepperoni, mushrooms, olives, and pepperoncinis.
Q: What’s your most-used mobile application and why?
My most used app would probably be Spotify, if I’m not listening to music, I’m listening
to a new Podcast. Spotify has simplified the app over the years focusing more on
personalized playlists and music discovery. These changes make navigating the app
faster and more enjoyable, all reasons I can’t live without it!
Q: What are three things still left on your bucket list?
- I’d love to experience the Aurora Borealis
- See as many of the New 7 Wonders of the World as I can
- Hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon
Q: What is the 1 piece of advice you would give to someone that wants to have a career in your field?
My tip is to seek out educational opportunities and create relationships in the industry.
Whether through workshops, industry events, online classes or even a software tutorial.
Always try to learn more.
